Statement
I am a Utah artist with a lifelong desire to become a painter. Although my formal education is in graphic design from BYU–Idaho (2012), I began studying oil painting in March 2025. I have been influenced by artists that I have taken workshops from, including David Dean, Dan Wilson and Kimbal Warren.
My work is inspired by the beauty of God's creations. I am especially drawn to animals and landscapes, finding endless wonder in the mountains, valleys, wildlife, and open spaces that surround us. Through painting, I seek to celebrate the remarkable world we have been given and to help others pause and appreciate the beauty that is often found in everyday moments.
Painting has also become a deeply personal source of healing. As I have navigated grief and loss, the creative process has provided peace, purpose, and a renewed appreciation for life. Time spent observing and painting the natural world reminds me that beauty, hope, and faith can still be found even during difficult seasons.
My goal as an artist is simple: to share uplifting, honest representations of the world around us and to inspire others to see God's handiwork in nature. Whether through a quiet landscape or the character of an animal, I hope my paintings bring a sense of gratitude, peace, and connection to those who view them.
